INGREDIENTS

DRY INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can chickpeas (drained & rinsed)

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 scoops protein powder (unflavoured, chocolate or vanilla)

  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut or almond)

  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder

  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey

  • 1/2 cup oat/soy milk

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Handful of hazelnuts

  • Dessicated coconut to cover

METHOD

  1. Add everything into a food processor, except the hazelnuts and desiccated coconut. Blitz until smooth. Add more milk if too thick. It should form a dough.

  2. Form equal-sized balls (makes around 12). Place a hazelnut into the middle of each ball. Roll into the desiccated coconut.

  3. Chill in the fridge at least an hour before serving.
